Why is NTUC Club giving LinkPoints instead of cash discounts?

NTUC Club hopes to provide more benefits and attractive redemptions, such as the WOW! Deals that are only redeemable with LinkPoints. Hence, all members’ discounts are now given in LinkPoints, so that members can keep the LinkPoints to redeem WOW! Deals.

What are WOW! Deals?

WOW! Deals are special deals launched from time to time and they are only redeemable with LinkPoints.

I am a nEbO member, will I get to earn LinkPoints?

As the junior membership arm of NTUC, all nEbO members will earn LinkPoints in place of cash discounts.

I am not a NTUC member, but I have a Plus! card, will I get to earn LinkPoints?

Yes, all Plus! payment and non-payment cardholders can now earn LinkPoints at NTUC Club. However, Plus! cardholders will earn about one-third of the LinkPoints awarded to NTUC Plus! cardholders.

Why are there different tiers of issuance and redemption of LinkPoints between NTUC Plus! and Plus! cardholders?

There are different tiers as NTUC Plus! cardholders are NTUC members who pay $9 a month. Hence, the amount of LinkPoints issued and required for redemption are different as this is a NTUC membership privilege. However, all Plus! cardholders can still enjoy and use the various NTUC Club facilities.

Plus! cardholders will earn about one-third of the LinkPoints issued to NTUC Plus! cardholders. NTUC Plus! cardholders are NTUC members who pay $9 a month. Hence, the amount of LinkPoints issued is more as this is a NTUC membership privilege.

I just became a Plus! member; will I be issued LinkPoints straightaway?

You can start earning LinkPoints at all participating merchants once you receive your Plus! card.

Am I entitled to earn LinkPoints if I pay by another credit card and not my NTUC Plus! VISA or Plus! VISA card?

You can earn LinkPoints even if you pay by another credit card, as long as you present your Plus! card at the point of purchase. However, payment by NTUC Plus! VISA or Plus! VISA cards may entitle you to additional benefits or LinkPoints, where applicable.

Do I enjoy discounts offered by other credit cards on top of the additional LinkPoints given to Plus! members?

No, the Plus! Programme at NTUC Club is not applicable with other promotions or benefits. You will not be able to enjoy other discounts, unless otherwise stated.

Can I accumulate my LinkPoints at NTUC Club and use them elsewhere?

Yes, you may use the LinkPoints earned at NTUC Club to redeem rewards or offset purchases at any Plus! merchant outlets e.g. FairPrice.

I have stopped being a Plus! member; can I still redeem my LinkPoints?

You can still redeem your LinkPoints before they expire and before the termination of your Plus! card. NTUC Link may from time to time, amend the validity period of the LinkPoints. LinkPoints not redeemed by the expiry date shall automatically expire. Please note:

If I book a room online, when do I get my LinkPoints?

Once your credit / debit / NETS payment has been processed, the LinkPoints will be credited into your Plus! card instantly.

If I cancel my booking, will I need to return the LinkPoints issued? What if I have used the LinkPoints elsewhere?

You do not need to return the LinkPoints issued. However, the refund will be adjusted for the value of LinkPoints issued and cancellation fees.

I am not a Plus! cardholder, can I use my friend’s Plus! card to instantly redeem the LinkPoints earned and pay a lower rate for the resort room?

If the cardholder allows for this and for the instant redemption of LinkPoints, you can enjoy the lower resort room rate. However room bookings will have to be made under the name of the Plus! cardholder and he / she will also need to be present during check-in.
